Hey guys
I'm looking for a DVD player for my apartment that is around 100 USD and is multi-regional. I've looked at a few in the Hot Deals section but the one I saw at amazon.com going for 99 had some shady reviews. Namley, the player started to die after a year of use. Any suggestions would be great!

I'm using a lite-on. Got it from newegg. Not sure what model. Most dvd players can be made multi-regional. Just search for firmware without region lock.

Actually, that is the one I saw at amazon.com for $99. I was all ready to get it but I saw this at vcdhelp:

Seems like alot break down after a year? How long have you had yours?

I picked up an Apex AD-1500 at CompUSA a couple weeks ago. $85 out the door with free Lord of the Rings. We'll see if the $20 rebate comes or not. After a quick flash, it's region and Macrovision free. If you go for an AD-1500, check the serial number to make sure you can flash it.
