Need suggestion on Socket A mobo...SDR or DDR

As the subject says...

I thought of getting the top of line DDR rig,e.g. 1.2Ghz (133Mhz part), PC2100 DDR SDRAM, and Gigabyte but after reading at some articles that DDR systems now are not much faster than any KT133A config, I had a second thought of buying a KT133A based mobo instead...
but here, I'm looking at long term investment, where I can use my comp for at least another 4-5 years...so I guess I got to buy the DDR mobo, but not many memory manufacturer sells PC2100 parts, if they do, it's so very expensive which makes me think thrice...

I would like to wait till next month even March I can say....but I think I gonna need it for my college work soon...

so any suggestions anyone??

Computer is not for long term investment,
within 4-5 years, you'll probably upgrade some components 4-5 times at least.

Get the most reasonable price stuff now - KT133A, PC133 SDR.
Save some for next upgrade.
