A decent watch does work well. In that price range, you could also find a cheap (but not junk) set of earrings.

If all else fails, take her out to dinner, or do chocolates + roses.

Well a few nights ago I was at the 99 Cent store and they had a huge banner outside that said they're "Your Valentines Day Headquarter" You should go look into it.

I love the 99 Cent store. I go there for a ton of goodies, plus they have Texas Toast there which is awesome.

Also, its too late if you wanna do anything really nice. You should have reserved a table at a fancy restaurant a month ago.

one red rose held by a teddy bear and a box of Godiva, none of that cheap hershey's shit. dinner at a nice iitalian restaurant, not olive garden. worked for me in my playa years many moons ago

1. That watch looks like an old lady watch.
2. Don't creep a girl out by getting her an expensive V-Day gift when you don't even date yet.
3. I bought my wife a single rose, a box of chocolates and the new Pearl Jam CD (her favorite band) on our second date, which was V-Day. She said she loved it and we are married to this day. :)

The rule is that the number of items you give must add up to 10. If you buy her 10 roses, that's all you can give. You can also give 1 rose and 9 condoms.

Personally I think chocolate would be the best gift. I hate it when people give me stupid bullshit and I'm obligated to use it just to make them feel better.

My wife bought us some nice steaks a couple of weeks ago. For valentine's day we have agreed to put those steaks on the grill, fix up some baked potatoes and a salad - and that is about it. We will not be exchanging gifts, or anything else like that.

We are just going to spend some time together, eat a nice steak dinner and watch a movie together
