well first off... i have acoustic edge and fps 1800 4.1 speakers..... and im getting some crackling/popping noises.. (the popping is in all the speakers, not just one) its in all noises.. not just winamp.. and especially if i try to play a cd.... i checked all my physical connections... and it seems that they are all good.. but i'll check again... anyways i noticed that the popping started after upgrading to win2k and installing new drivers.. could this have anything to do with it?
anyways... if my setup is dead or not.. im lookin for a new sound setup.. i was thinking of putting an audigy + klips onto an old mobo w/ a duron800 and 512 megs of ram and just use that as a sound system.. nothing else.. i could move new music onto its HD over the network... i'd spend maybe 400-500 bucks for the audigy and klips.. maybe more depending on what exactly i bought.. but would it sound better to just go out and buy a reciever and speakers?
