I'm interested in listening to some jazz music but I have no clue what's good. So what do you all suggest? (include oldies)

What kind of jazz? Slow jazz? Fast jazz? I'm a big fan of slow jazz myself(great to chill to)

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue(great jazz album)

Girl From Impenema(dunno how to spell the last word, its a song and really good)

i actualy look forward to seeing what other people will recomend

Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds of Fire
Stanley Jordan - Cornicopia (sp?)
Miles Davis - Sketches of Spain

Stan Getz, Antonio Carlos Jobim did that and I agree with the Miles suggestions.
Jobim rocks the free world if you like a little Latin in your jazz the Getz/Jobim album is soooo beautiful

If you like funk try the JB's
or Freddie Hubbard

Try Cannonball Adderly
Try Billie Holiday
Try Lena Horn
Try some of the older Louis Armstrong (stay away from the ultra-commercial recordings of him with an orchestra or him with Bing Crosby or that crap)

One of the best albums in the whole world is Louis Armstrong & Duke Ellington Damn is it good.....
