need some ram speed advice

I'm building my first machine and learning as i go, at the moment i'm planning on using a Core i7 860 cpu with a Gigabyte GA-p55-ud4 here is a list of compatible memories.

I don't plan to overclock (if i do it'll be mild, maybe up to 3Ghz but most likely wont at all) so do i simply get the top memory on that list? DDR 3 2200? or are the speeds dependent on the clock speed of the processor?

i plan to get Win 7 and use the machine mostly for 3d rendering with 3D Studio Max.

DDR3 1333.... CAS 7 @1.5v

Anything else is overkill a waste of money, or Marketing Crapola

ok thanks, is there a simple explanation of memory speeds because i've read a few articles and can't quite get my head around it

Motherboared manufacturers set up their BIOSs to default to the typical memory speeds they think consumers will be installing. That way there is a very good chance that the motherboard will post and boot on the first try, no matter what memory is installed..

If you install faster memory, you generally have to manually set the memory speed in the BIOS.
