Hi all,

I have a Dell Optiplex GX270 desktop (no existing RAM) that I like to use. I checked with Dell via the service tag number and it said this computer needs PC3200 184 pin RAM. I probably get 2 sticks of 512MB = 1GB.

Where do I get the RAM that will guarantee solid compatible with this old computer? I just want to install the RAM and it to work and that's all. No OC or anything fancy.

I also have a Dell GX2600 and GX2400 (I know it uses PC133 and 168 pin), same question. TIA.

Check with the RAM manufacturer of your choice. They should be able to tell you what memory is compatible with your system. Most of the good companies have an online database or configurator for this.
