So i started work at a new company for a month+ as an Intern/Part Time.

I work pretty much 8 hours a day and its been slow most of the times. I pretty much log in my own time and can leave when days are slow.

Recently one of my team member approached me and asked if I would like to do IT
Consultant work on the side. He does this on the side and since he works full time for the current company so he can't do some his side jobs.

Would it be a good idea if I do this and make extra money on the side?

Opinions/Advice?

Thanks

What is your current job? If it's similar work & customer base to the offered side job, be careful.
Otherwise, why not?

Current job is IT support for one floor, so its similar work BUT not similar customers.

What's holding me back is that I do want to be promoted as a full time employee with the current company in the near future. Its a slow job but the pay WILL be good.

Yes, that is true. Currently am not learning a whole lot here...mostly how the CORPERATE world works...everything is slow, have to go thru couple of people before things gets done.

if there's nothing in your contract that prevents it and there is no conflict of interest, you should do it.

No, don't do it. You could spend that time posting silly questions like this one on ATOT. :p

as long as there's no conflict of clientbase, then I wouldnt think it'd be an issue.
