Well, my cousin just called me and he said he has 2 pictures that he wants to put on one page. Not a web page or anything like that, but I guess he wants to take the 2 jpg's and merge them into 1 jpg so that when he double clicks on the file it will show both of the pictures side-by-side, or one on the top and one on the bottom.

Do you know what I mean? He's going to call me back in a few hours and I have no idea how to do what he proposes. So is there a program that he can download that will do what he needs?

You could do it in Word or any of the MS Front page versions.
Create a new page... top left icon or file... new...then page...click on
Insert..or tools...insert.... pic (from file, twain source, whatever)...position it...insert next pic..position it........save as... Name it(whatever)
Thats all there is to it.
Format....background..change colors...and go from there.
Use the help section allot and take your time. That is a beginning point of web page designing

I think he has Word 97 but I'm not entirely sure. He has windows 98 (first edition) so it came with front page express, would that do it?

If he doesn't already have some sort of program installed that can do the job, then I'll tell him to download paintshop pro. He's still using plain old dial-up to access the internet so hopefully the file won't be too big.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Cougar - have your cousin post the pictures a place where people can see/download them, i.e. website, then post this request in Off-Topic or here again - some other dude needed help with a pic and they helped him out there...
