I'd give The Black Keys a try. Kind of a Jimi Hendrix jams with B.B. King kind of thing. That's not really a good explination either but it's good stuff.

Stone Sour is a new favortie of mine. Very good stuff.

I'd also give a band called Down a try if I were you. Side project of Phil Anselmo (formerly of Pantera). Heavy stuff with kind of a bluesy/southern rock tinge to it. Get Down II. Great CD.

I was flipping channels and came across Damien Rice's performance on Carson Daly's show.
The band is really really good.

ok, i'll get flamed for this, and i never thought i'd hear myself say it, but the new blink 182 song is pretty good if you pretend not to hear the lyrics. :)

seriously though, the new ozma cd is killer, and if you want something harder, i suggest glassjaw and the blood brothers.

Any particular albums or songs? I wana sample them before buying the albums.

You must own Dark Side Of The Moon. I first heard it about 8 years ago (I was never a fan), to watch it with The Wizard Of Oz (search Google for that phenomenon if you haven't heard of it). But that album is one of rock's greatest. Front to back.

If you like straight-ahead rock (no rap/hip-hop influences), check out Big Wreck. Pure quality rock.
