After reading OP, I'm getting closer to understanding our credit crises.

WTF OP, if you're already in debt, didn't you take the time to think before jumping in? Did you discuss this with anyone?

yeah its amazing when somoen is so far upside down on a loan then gets another loan and then is amazed at how much they need a loan for.

Does your state have a cooling off period? Some states allow you to return the car after say 3 days.

If not... if you took possesion of the car and drove it off the lot... well the salespeople threw a keg party in your honor.

What they did sounds shady... so if you feel like a total idiot... goto a local news channel and tell them how your were fleeced. At least the local news stations around me get off on exposing that kind of thing.

EDIT: After reading through this thread... I suggest you visit www.daveramsey.com.
15K upside down in a car? You need to just step back and buy a used hyundai or something. You cannot afford the car you drive... plain and simple. If you could afford it would be paid off and not leased.

great advice. hyundai's have gotten better over the years. doing that the price is not as low asthey used to.

though he would be paying $90k for a damn elentra!

I know it's the nature of those at ATOT to belittle and berate, but cut the guy a little slack. He knows he messed up and is asking for help.

It would be nice to see his lease agreement because he may not have make a "mistake". He's waay upside down on the car he had. He's going to have to face the music someday and maybe today is the day. He's either got to pay off what he has, or roll it into something else. There's no other way out.

My suggestion would have been to purchase, not lease, a lower priced vehicle. But there has to be enough value in what you're getting to absorb the cost of the rollover.

The $6000 dollar loan for the down-stroke is crazy though.

The OP is between a rock and a hard place. Constructive criticism instead of insults would be more appropriate IMO.

Okay:

1) Sell car, cancel lease, get a Schwinn until all debt paid off.
2) Put somebody with an ounce of sense in charge of finances.
3) Never buy anything more expensive than a pack of gum without permission.

That's about the most helpful advice anyone can offer other than "don't be stupid". OP clearly can't handle his finances and can't be trusted to make any decisions. It's time to turn it all over to a trustee.

good luck man, let us know how this works out for you...you did get screwed, buying/leasing cars with those salesmen makes things impulsive.

He didn't get screwed. He screwed himself.

sounds like a mix of whoever wrote his contract, and what he was signing.

OP wow. Just wow. How do you figure you are pretty good at buying cars if you made this deal with a lease? Sure they are different, but they are close enough there is NO WAY you should have signed this.

That dealership got you on that "high" you get after a test drive didn't they? Thanks to your thread, I have NO issues with getting cars for at/under invoice and the dealership making no money on me.

Never thought I'd agree with a GagHalfrunt post, but yeah, pretty much.

It's clear to me that either one or both of the following is true:

- The OP tries to live well above his means
- The OP is very poor at understanding finances

Not only does this lease experience sho that he's not good at buying cars, owning a $15,000 vehicle that he's upside down in by $15000 shows he's cluelss at buying cars.

I'm pretty sure we'll get goosed after all of the comments. Honestly... I feel bad for the guy. I know he's responsible...but it must really suck being that bad with money.

Hell no. Of course I would never have signed that...and even if I had...I sure as hell wouldn't post it on ATOT where I know 99% of the posts would be scathing rather than constructive.
