Need Some LCD Suggestions

Recently my Planar LCD monitor died on me. I'm in the market to get a couple new ones now. I absolutely loved Planar, but they are typically a more expensive brand.

I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on an LCD that they absolutely loved. I'm looking for feedback on different models that people who are here actually use.

I'm only willing to purchase a 19" though, once you go that big you can't go back. 🙂

19" isn't big. Dell has 20" wides for very reasonable prices these days. Once you go wide, you can't go back.

Look like it's $219.00 landed, you can sometimes find X% off coupons online, or sometimes on eBay (I got a 30% off monitor coupon on eBay for $0.99 once, and got my E207 for <$200 landed when they first came out.)

The E207 is a nice monitor, for the price. I've had mine for 6 months now, really surprising quality. The drawback is there are no extra connectors, just VGA and DVI. Perfect for most needs, but I'd like to be able to hook my Xbox into it without buying the VGA cable..

Best of luck.

The thing is I'm planning on a Dual monitor setup, so 20" isn't really necessary when I'll be having 38".

I'm not really a gamer or anything like that so I'm not worried about quality for games, just something that's very efficient and good quality. I'll check out your link though, who knows you may convince me to go 20".

I absolutely love my Dell monitor. It's a 22 inch, I believe, but they make the same type in many sizes. It has an input for VGA, DVI, composit, and S-Video, so i can switch between my PC and my Xbox, then flip over and watch some cable TV, too. I really think Dell is a great buy when it comes to monitors...this is the nicest I've ever had.

Is it recommended that I go with a name brand? I also find myself seeing decent prices on brands I've never heard of but then I'm hesitant with going with a brand I've never heard of.
