Get any kit of PC2 6400 DDR2 800mhz.

They are all good, so get the cheapest one I guess!

If you want performance, then get the G.Skill ddr2 800mhz 4-4-4-12 2GBHZ ($260 @ newegg.com and overclockable to 1000+)

For the motherboard, go with Asus! They are the best right now.

P5W64 is supposed to be the best Core 2 Duo board out there.

Or try the P5WDG2 WS Pro (I have it and it is great)

Or the P5W DL!

AND DON'T GET A CHEAP POWER SUPPLY! PLEASE GET SOMETHING GOOD AND SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE.

The OCZ 600W PSU unit is a great PSU and would cost you $120 or so.

Trust PC Power and Cooling, OCZ, Enermax, Seasonic, Fortron!

(if you care about SLI, then wait for november 8th. Nvidia will launch a good board then)
