Need some help with buying a Video card

hey i was just wondering if anyone has this card eVGA GeForce 7800GT and cuold tell me how it is. I am also open for suggestions. I am looking for a card that i can play all modern games on there max video settings without any "lag" in graphics, i am mainly looking to play Battlefield 2 and probably F.E.A.R so if anyone has these games and can tell me a good graphics card to buy just post some with links if possible

7800 gt sli and above = eats up everything

7800 gt performs similarly to gtx but can't handle fear with max setting at 1280x1024 (neither can do it)

gt or gtx can handle battlefield easily with max setting
