Okay im taking computer graphics 2. its a project oriented course ( 60% of grade from 1 project ). only problem is i have to come up with what to do for my project because it's totally open ended.
Ive pretty much established that it will be in OpenGL so now i gotta figure out some ideas of what to do.
Two ideas that i came up with are:
to try to cast realistic shadows from all the objects in a scene. ( this sounds marginally difficult, becasue the amnt of realism i want is very high , and its required that we make it like that )
The second idea is to program a realistic physics engine that interacts with a 3d world, and have the user modify values and such and accurately show the results ( this would also get into doing things with object collision and stuff which i havent done either ).
Im a 4th year cs student at RIT, so it wont be that difficult, its more the fact of figuring out how to do it. but i just want to come up with something cool.
Im open to lots of cool ideas if anyone wants to help me out here
thanks
