Only thing i got so far is

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a great choice. You may also want to look into To Kill A Mockingbird.
 
Anything Akira Kurasawa
Just finished the Dirty Harry series and that was pretty good.
Citizen Kane
Nosferatu
Rear Window or any of the Hitch movies you haven't seen
Some of the Alan Ladd movies are great
or how about the Erroll Flynn - Captain Blood, They Died with their Boots On...
 
Oh yeah, the movies made from Dashiell Hammett stories are classic noir...

Bogart's movies are good too, but there are to many to list....
John Wayne wouldn't be a bad choice either but again to many to list.
