Need some help solving..............

Have a hp pavillion 8280 64mg that i replaced the battery and mem chips with two 128 m, when i went to restart it goes to Phoenix Bio screen. Says error with time and date. At the very bottom of screen choice of pressing F1 to setup or F2 to resume. My problem is that the keyboard wont respond. Know what i need to do? besides sticking a piece of dynamite under it.

couple of questions...?

Do the lights on the keyboard flash when the system boots...?

Also do you have access to a USB keyboard...?

the keyboard lights flash on start up and again just before bios screen comes on.

What type of memory did you put in there? That old of a system needs only PC100, maybe only PC66 memory. You replaced the battery, how come? Did the keyboard work recently? try another if you can.........
