Need some help setting up Front Panel led's (Intel865/Antec 865II)

(Going by the Intel 865 PERL Manual)
I'm using an ANTEC SX835II case and Intel 865 branded MB .

First question would be : Do I have to worry about Positive/Negative type connections ? (a certain color wire to a specific pin ?)
Reset Switch ----- CHECK
On/Off ----- CHECK
HD LED ----- CHECK

PWR LED ----- There are two places for this as the manual describes (Front Panel Header labled as ""C"" & another seperate from all the other connections labled "Power LED" , listed as ""D"" in the manual .

If I connected the PWR led to the place I think I should (with all the other FP connectors ""C"") One of the wires would not be connected to a pin .

Please post what you can if you can , as anything will help 🙂

Thanks ..............

Any input would be very much appreciated 😉

It does matter if you want the leds to work properly. if you connect them where you think they should go, and the led does not light, try reversing the plug on the terminals and try again.

Ok , no problem .... will switch them around if they don't light 😉

One thing still exsists though : The PWR LED .
There are two places on the board that say PWR LED

J8J1 (Front Panel connectors w/PWR LED/2pin (if I connect to these pins , one wire will not be connected)
J7J1 (stand alone PWR LED connector/3pin)

Which of the above do I use ?

The Antec 865II has the PWR LED connector as a three pin , with the two outside outside being the ones with wires .

Use the J7J1 (stand alone PWR LED connector/3pin).....depends on the case, if you had a case with a 2-pin you'd use the 2-pin.
