Looking to get a lens as a gift for a friend, and I need some help picking one out. All I could figure out without making it too obvious is that she's got a wide angle, some kit lens, and a fisheye adapter, so all of these should cover a range none of her lenses do, and I know none of these are particularly fantastic but they fit my price range. I also need to have it by Wednesday, which is why I'm going for Amazon.

Any input is greatly appreciated...

The Canon 55-250mm is the best one of the lot.

Alright, so 4 votes for the Canon. Not going to lie, I was leaning towards it (I listed it first :p) but she mentioned Tamron lenses so I was looking. IS the determining factor?

I have a Tamron 70-300mm. The only way I can get a decent pic out of it is when it's on a tripod, manually focused. It's total rubbish - that was the lens that taught me to buy quality glass the first time, otherwise you'll end up buying twice.

I love my 55-250mm IS. Consider this another vote for that one.
