Need some help on setting the Sonicare toothbrush to 2 1/2 mins

the guide saids..press the dual speed button briefly and note which led lights up. briefly? 1 sec, 2 sec, 5sec? and then hold the dual speed button and release it until it reach led 5.

It never work!!

Yes, mine can aswell set it to unlimited timing aswell. now, if i can get the damn thing to work.
