So I think that the bios on my epox ep-8rda+ motherboard is all messed up. I got to go into it and everything got erased somehow and now it wont do anything when I start my computer. I went to the epox website and found the updated bios... I think at least. Its a bin file. So now that I have it I do not know what I am suppose to do. Do I just put it onto a cd then pop it in and boot up?

You might want to read up, I am sure there is a walkthrough on their site, or a readme with the BIOS flash utility, but I suggest if you don't know what you are doing, take some time to read. If you mess up you can render your mobo completely useless.

I flash Asus boards a lot, and I know how to do it blindfolded now, but they have a readme that comes with their flash utility and it walks you through what to do.

It's not that hard, but don't go into it stabbing in the dark.

try removing the battery first and wait 15 mins, then see if you get anywhere.

You can always buy a new replacement chip with the latest bios if all else fails..
check my sig.

BIOS can be recovered, it can not be erased totally unless you do something to your BIOS chip itself, but it could not be erased totally that easily because that is stored in an EEPROM... try reading your mobo manual on how to recover your BIOS to factory preset, i think you'll be removing some jumpers on that.. but it differs from mobo to mobo though...
