Ok, i wouldn't normally post something like this, and first and foremost i want to stress that i'm asking for ideas, not handouts, that being said, here i go

I'm a college student, and rent an apt. in buffalo, ny, i went home for christmas only to get a call on christmas night to tell me that my house had been robbed. Lovely day for me. So i return home to find just about everything of mine gone, computer, dvd, palm pilot, atm, credit cards, cash, yeah, it sucked.

Well, to make a long story short (because i know i hate reading long stories too), i need some ideas/places/hot deals so i can get myself going again. I really need a new computer, (which i was going to buy anyway before this happened, but now dont really have th emoney too, but i ineed one), and would like something to be able to watch all my dvd's on too. I'm debating selling all my dvd's and cd's to try and buy some of my stuff back, so if anyone's interested, pm or email me,

the only problem however is that i dont have access at home anymore, and have to drive places to go online, so i may or may not be on a lot, probably about 2 or 3 times a week. I hope you all can help me out and point me in the right direction after this wonderful holiday of mine. thanks for listening everyone and happy holidays to all

Well, first I would suggest some renter's insurance. Second, I would say that if your credit is decent you could probably get a decent machine from Dell for very low monthly payments. A friend of mine did this and she got a pretty good machine for like $15 a month. You can pay more than that a month as well and pay it off earlier.

Actually, your home was burglarized (not robbed). Robbery is a violent crime against a person. Burglary is stealing while trespassing. Theft is stealing, but not trespassing.

I'm sure that not only helped his cause but made him feel much better too.
