need some help guys trying to put my parts from a gatewaybdesk top into a bitfinx

ok here what im tring to do i have a gateway 4870u .now i know i have to get a new motherboard but can i use my cpu i3 3220,hdd,dvd rom,ram, i have a consair powersuppy and a gtx 660sc ...BIG question can i use this windows 8 it came with the gateway....looking for some help.....Btw the case is a bitfenix phenon or prodigy ..

Yes, the CPU, HDD, ODD, and RAM are all standard parts that you can transplant.

As for the OS, when used with an OEM key, Windows has traditionally looked for a special string in the BIOS before allowing activation. No matter whether or not you can technically get it to work, it's against the EULA.
