Need some help for a report on Fiber Optics

What more do you need to know than that it's extremely fine strands of glass? How it functions is what really matters.

i don't know if it'll have a whole lot of info, maybe some links, but here is my hopefully future place of employment
i think i saw an information section somewhere, but i didn't spend a whole lot of time on there, sorry

i just took a second look, didn't see anything too substancial, sorry it may give you an idea of specifications and such though

Well, the report is how we take natural resources and make them into something...
It would be great if I could find out a good page that shows how its made and how the glass is stretched into the wires and stuff. Im just going to give a small background on how it works since most people in my class dont know what it is.
