I want to buy a new burner and i want to know which is better: SONY or LG; both with 2MB buffer, 52*32*52, and practicly in the same price.

Thanks...

Web sites like http://www.cdrinfo.com and http://www.cdrlabs.com et al. do reviews on CD burners. And there are some other factors that might be important like chassis size and appearance. I like the MSI X48/X52 series of Combo drives because they work well, are quiet, have the short chassis like the LiteOn/Sony/TDK/etc. (which are all based on the same chassis) and the retail version has better appearance than any LiteOn or rebadge thereof. Of course it is a Combo drive so it costs a bit more than those that lack the DVD reading feature. But I think it's worth it.
. If I really had to choose between the two you mentioned, I would probably choose the LG.
