hi,

i have no idea what case or psu to get. i've been looking around trying to figure out what i need, but i'm geting nowhere.
here's what i'm planning on getting:

EPoX 8KHA+ (or MSI's K7T266 Pro2)
athlon xp 1700+
aiw radeon 8500DV
lite-on 16x48x dvd-rom
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz (or maybe Audigy, Philips Acoustic Edge, or the Game Theater XP)
Logitech z560 (or maybe a Boston Acoustics BA4800 or Klipsch ProMedia 4.1)
Thermalright SK6 w/80mmfan Panaflo
2 x crucial 256MB PC2100 DDR Ram
Mitsumi 4804TE
Maxtor 60GB hdd (and maybe another few drives later on).
optical mouse
keyboard
17" monitor
generic floppy drive
NIC

So I need to know what would be a good case & psu, and whatever else i might need for my planned system. I'm only looking to spend about $100-$150. would i be restricted by that budget in any way?
please help me out here. thanks.

Peronally im in love with Antec cases. I recently aquired the SX 1240 and it is brilliant. Good quality, nice and roomy, with a very good powersupply.

The Antec Page

You could go with the SX 600 or 800 series. Take a look.

out of the antecs i say go for the SX1030 or SX1040, same size as the SX830/SX840 but with a door and another floppy drive cage, they are excellent cases, if you like the styling you could also get an enermax (newegg) or a chem ming, or chieftec. happy hunting, i'm sure you'll enjoy whatever case you get

I am also a huge Antec fan. Well, newegg has a special on antec SX1030. I love their cases, and can't say enough good about it.
The side of the case comes off really easy. There's enough room for two cars in there. It's sturdy enough for you to use it as a stool. Well, you get the idea. This case will last you quite a while, and has superb airflow.

I know the Lian-Li cases are getting excessively popular, but I would go with one of those anyway cause they are so sweet. They allow for greater heat dissipation, plenty of case cooling, light as a feather, brushed aluminum is very cool, kinda spendy but in my opinion a GREAT case. Looking at around the $160 range, and you will need to get a PSU separate this case doesn't come with one.

As far as PSU's go, I would go with the Antec 350 or 400 watt units, depending on your power needs.
