Why Crysis 2? Seems cherry-picked favourably to 7770. On average, 560 Ti is 42% faster, not 6% slower.
Well, it is slower in Crysis 2, by 6%. On average it is faster, I suppose... it depends what games you play. I just favor Crysis 2, immensively.

But seriously, it's hard to recommend 560 Ti, today, for occasional gaming. Computer mostly will be idling. Performance per Watt chart:

You got a point there and the charts do show it. So I'd say the 560 TI is out.

That leaves the 7770 & GTX 560 SE.

Your worried about 8w at idle......is it possible to even work out the savings on that?!...LMAO

Haha, I'm not worried about the power really. Just the OVERALL performance. Not on certain games but overall and what gives me more bang for my buck.

Well.. when you minimize all windows, that will be close to 1w [Long Idle state]. Less heat output will result in a cooler/quieter system, especially on a hot summer day, this could matter.

If you don't care about power consumption and its louder acoustics. Go with 560 Ti then but you have been warned ;)

See if you can strech out your budget a bit and go for 7850 or 670.

Already been said, the 560Ti is more powerful, guess it comes down to the cost of it, where you live...

Link to Anands bench comparisons...
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/536?vs=547

And the 7770 is running with an extra 1/2 Ghz faster CPU!

Well then, if that is what it is, I'll probably go for the 560ti.

Can someone link me up to a 560 ti or two?

Does EVGA make one?

Thanks. : )

#29, OP is not worried about power, just performance\$

In which case, 7850 might even be a better option.

Fits your bill.

Yes, it does. Thank you. I picked out the same thing for a couple dollars more. I just thought the one I picked out looked sleeker and smaller considering I have a micro ATX board to work with and a smaller case and such.

I mean, does the brand matter THAT much, maybe a stupid question. I know MSI is fairly good but is this "XFX" any good or just as good?

Thank you. : )

Depends on the model. They all make good cards, cooling system design / branding usually what sets them apart. And warranty/service of course. That MSI card is slightly shorter as well, not sure if it's the shortest on the market. Makes sense if you have to fit it in a tight mATX case.

Yeah, I hear ya there. You are right.

Well it's probably a throw up of the card I picked out and the MSI you gave me. I MAY have to turn towards the XFX even if the fan is a little loud due to the space I'll have to work with and such.

Now the part comes in if I should purchase it now for $115 [after rebate] and get the Dirt game for free, or just wait since I'm not building for another 4 months anyway?

lol

Just wait, until you are ready. No point to buy in advance. A lot can happen in the next 4 months ;p

Definitely do not go with that card. Why the heck would you link to a GTX 560 SE at $137 when a GTX 460 V2 is the same GF114 chip, but it has 336 cores running at 820-860MHz vs the GTX 560 SE's 288 cores at 776MHz, they have the exact same memory bus but the GTX 460's runs 200MHz higher, and the GTX 460 is cheaper after rebate?
