I have finally had it with my Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe, the board won't let me OC past 2.35GHZ even though my processor can handle 2.6+ and my chipset fan just died on me! I am going to RMA and then sell it, but need help on deciding a replacement.
I am looking for a board that I can overclock to 2.6GHZ 1:1, as I know the memory I am buying will do it, and my processor has been stable at that speed.
I would like to get the DFI LanParty Ultra-D board, but have heard that it has problems with some TCCD memory and I don't want it to be a problem with the G.Skill LE chips I am ordering. Anyone have any insight on this? Are there any other problems with this board that I should be aware of? I do not want another mess like I have had with the A8N.
Has anyone heard about the performance of the Abit AN8 Fatality? The board looks awesome, but the only problem I have with it aside from the fact I haven't heard how well it OC's, is that my XP-120 doesn't look like it will fit, and I would have to replace it with a Zalman 7700-Cu. Any opinions on this?
Any other opinions? I need some help making a decision before tomorrow, because I don't want to run my comp to long with the chipset fan dead! Thanks for the help!
