Need some fish?

what is it? spotlight fishing? lol
it must be some kind of real fishing technique if it truely is illegal is places

Actually we have a grunion run on the beaches in California several times a year. The grunion (type of fish) try to mate at the waters edge by the millions and flop up and down on the sand. You can't use a device like a net to catch em but you can catch em with your hands. My friends always prepare for the run and fill their buckets with fish.

Holy cow, I just found some fishing laws in New Brunswick Canada. Strict is an understatement:

Angling is the only legal method of catching sport fish.

* Jigging is illegal. You cannot have a jigging device or spear within 15 metres of the water. If you hook a fish accidentally in any part of its body except the mouth, you must release it immediately.

* You cannot use a gaff or spear to land a sport fish.

* You cannot have a snare or bow and arrow within 15 metres of our rivers, lakes and streams unless you are hunting or trapping.

* You cannot fish with more than one line. (No more than three hooks attached)

* You cannot use a setline in our rivers, lakes and streams except for ice fishing.

* You cannot fish for Atlantic salmon with an artificial fly that has more than two hooks.

* You cannot fish at night. (See angling hours.)

* You cannot fish with an artificial light or light from a fire.

* You cannot purchase, sell or barter sport fish. (This does not apply to licensed aquaculture facilities.)

* You cannot fish from a bridge.

* You cannot fish within 22.8 metres (25 yards) of the lower entrance to a fishway or dam.

In America I think we have one rule: no dynamite in a school zone 😀

I guess what they say about when you have a near death experience you see a light well for these fish I suppose that's true. So if you get reincarnated as a fish don't swim towards the light.

Or perhaps what humans call 'Death' is simply aliens harvesting humans?

On an related note, explosives or car battery would work well for catching fish?

so has anyone figured out why these fish are doing this? I have heard low voltage electricity was used, but if you look at the whole video not the shortened verison, after it's over the guy in the boat talks about what is going on but since I don't speak Spanish I don't know what he is saying, is there anyone here that can translate?

Don't know much about fish, but could it be the fish are jumping on their own, and the guys just steer the boat into the area?
