Well AT people.. work your magic.

What is a cheap setup I can get for my grandparents?

All they need: Case, mobo, ram, chip, powersupply.

They have the rest of the components already from old boxes we have around my house here.

What would be the best I can get for only a few hundred dollars to get them on the internet?

Go to newegg.com, find the cheapest mobo, processor, case and memory you can. It'll get them online just fine. A Pentium 100MHz will get someone online. You'll probably find the best prices on either a Celeron or Duron (the Duron will give you better performance than a Celeron of the same speed, so keep that in mind while comparing prices). PC133 memory will be just fine. Motherboard with integrated video and audio, possibly even integrated networking if you're getting them broadband. AMR or CNR modems are cheap, but so are normal PCI software modems (winmodems). VIA PLE133T chipset would be good, or an Intel 810E (I'd prefer the VIA) for Celeron, or VIA KLE133 or SiS 730S for Duron.

Or use Pricewatch to find even cheaper stuff, newegg is just easy to find stuff all in one place.

Oh, and good luck supporting your grandparents computer. :) Unless they're already knowledgeable in their use, I'm not sure I'd be up to it.

call dell and ask them to fix you the cheapest system available..
With all the technical support on stand by if your grand parents has any problems they can contact dell for technical asistants
and along too is the 3 years warranty(if you opt for it) then you would not worry that much about the finding the part for warranty after 2-3 years of purchase

I agree with neoro. Dell has some pretty darn cheap integrated machines that would probably do the trick. Then you could pawn the tech support off on them, too. :)

I vote that you take them over to The Dell Website
