Need some basic OC/Buying advice (Epox Boards/Memory)

Can someone give me a simple breakdown of the differences between the SIS645 and the i845D Intel Chipsets.

The 2 boards im considering are the EPOX EP-4SDA+ RAID and the EPOX EP-4BDA2+ RAID.

Which is the best board for a Northwood 1.6 processor, and what type of memory should I consider for overclocking purposes?

I have the epox 4sda+, and it works just ok. Not as stable with voltage increases as I would like. It doesn't have the 4 pin square 12 volt plug for the P4, which may improve stability. Maybe the 4bda+ has it, but I'm not sure. I recommend 256 megs of samsung pc2700 memory, about $90 shipped from newegg. Mine running at 133 fsb (1.6 volts- 2.13 gigs) , while using the 4:5 ratio for 166 fsb memory speed. Boots up as pc2700 memory. I recommend you read Tom's hardware guide review of 10 sis 645 boards if you haven't already.
 
Get the 4BDA2+ and some Samsung PC2700 with the 1.6A. Great combo. Conservative overclock to 533 FSB, 2.13 GHz. Run the mem @ 3:4 for a 355 MHz DDR speed. Go higher if you can. Check the HardOCP Forums. Its a VERY popular combo there. I'm building exactly this myself.
 
i've got that samsung, but i have to run it at 4:3 for my comp to boot... either way, its real nice quality memory, scores well in pcmark
