Hello,

My friend bought me a 7950GT OC 512MB made by BFG from frys a couple days ago. I was thinking about returning it and getting the cash to use for a purchase ONLINE instead. The cards seem to go alot cheaper.

I am looking to save money from this deal and get a better card at the same time.

My rig = C2D e4400, 2x1gb ddr2 533, good non sli mobo.

Cards i am thinking about using

Radeon x1950 PRO
Radeon x1950 XT
Radeon x1900 XTX

GF 8600 GT
GF 8600 GTS
GF 7600 GT ( could save alot of cash here )

- I really want to know if the GEFORE 8600 GT is better than my 9750GT OC. I can get this card for like 150$ shipped brand new and pocket 100$ for a new G7 laser mouse.

What is the BEST budget gaming card for me to use for ONLY CS SOURCE. Thats all i play... and i watch movies on my machine as well.

Using small LCD and CRT for monitors ( 19inchers )

You're better off with the 7950 than the 8600. Even the 8600GTS wasn't showing that well compared to the 7950, from what I recall. However, given the price difference that you're seeing, the 8600 GTS might be worth a drop in performance if you don't need the ZOMG ROX!!11!~! performance.

At $179, the 7950 seems like a winner, though. Great performance, and you'll have plenty of memory if you want to bump up the resolution.

cool, now its mostly my concern of buying another 9750 @ online pricing or buy a x1950PRO. I can save alot of cash on the x1950pro and some reviews say its actually better.
