always have bad luck on LANs.
i go over my friends house to set up a lan. everything is fine.. my computer here are the specs

Abit Kt7a
AMD Athlon 900mhz (not overclocked)
256mb pc133 ram
Audigy
Geforce2 mx 32mb

so everythign was fine then my computer kept freezing.. and what was weird. i turned it off and it wouldnt turn on again. for those with the Abit's. the computer wont turn on if it sees something wrong. it just hangs and wont even turn on the monitor. this was very weird. dont really know the problem still dont,so I go and i try to look inside, maybe the cpu busted. i went to take off the heatsink and one of the little white tabs that the heatsink attaches to.. broke off
so my mobo is done pretty much

i need some advice
im kinda tight on budget right now..

but i found a motherboard i can use

http://www.ussa.com/ussaonline/product.asp?dept_id=10508&pf_id=100-105-1002565

it doesnt work sometimes. so what you have to do. copy and paste the link. then CLICK the link and paste the URL into the address. so that you dont go to their index site

i can use that motherboard.. or one of my friends suggest since my memory sucks, get a new motherboard and memory and maybe a new cpu
now thats sort of expensive
and im pretty sure my CPU is fine. athlon 900mhz,isnt that outdated is it? ive had it for around 3-4 years
works fine for me

maybe what i can do is get a new motherboard that supports the Athlon 900 and also supports faster memory and get faster memory?

can anyone help me out. tell me what motherboard to get.. what memory to get
and also maybe prices would be good
i usually go to www.mwave.com since they have some good deals

thanks

edit: havent updated my profile in a while. dont mind it
