Need some advice

I would like some input for animation software, it is for my 10 year old son who has Aspberger's Syndrome. So as he just likes things to work it would need to be the easiest to use software, but with as full of features as possible. As he likes drawing and will draw 100s of pictures a day I was thinking that maybe this is the route to go. I myself do not have any experience with this type of software, I have googled it but would appreciate any input. My son's pc is Windows 7 32 2Gb ram E4300 HD4550.
