Title says it all. I'm building a case from scratch - I want to attach a sheet of plastic (acrylic/plexiglass) to a metal (aluminum) frame. I'm trying to do this without having any screws visible from the outside (screwing it on from the inside would be OK - the only problem is that the plastic is only 1/8" thick). The plastic will be painted on the back side (the inside of the case), so I don't know if glue will work well.

Also, does anybody know where I can get colored/tinted acrylic cement? I've searched on google, but all I can find is the clear stuff.

Look thrugh LOCTITE Corp's catalog. If you find nothing there, email them.
Their catalog is extensive and when asked they are very helpful. Personally i have never seen colored bonding agents but i bet they are out there.

It is clear or slightly milky when hard, but one of my favorites is #454. It comes in a tube and is in gel form. It will fill gaps up to .010" wide, yet provides an incredable bond. The range of materials it can be used on is vast.

That's all i got. If you email Loctite, post their reply.

There is an industrial strength double-sided tape out there. I've seen it a Radio Shack I think and it's probably available elsewhere. Not sure but it was probably a 3M product. http://www.mcmaster-carr.com carries a wide range of adhesives and tapes - and a lot of other things in the hardware area that might be of interest to compter modders.
