I am still new to this forum, but I really appreciate all the help I have been getting.
I have some questions.

1.I am building my first PC, and I really don't want to mess up. I have bought the ANTEC 480W TRUE BLUE Powersupply. Is this a really good PSU? My research shows that ANTEC is one of the best. What do I set my PSU to. 115V or 230V? Does the PSU automatically do this part by itself. I have heard that if I set the Voltage wrong I could destroy my mother board.

2.I have been told that I should burn in my computer. Where would I go to get the Burnin Software? Is it free? When do I burn it in, after I install my OS and apps or before?

3.Finally, are there any tips or anything that will help a first time builder. Even if it is something u would assume I would know I would still appreciate the advice.

Thanks

1. Yes its a great psu. put it to 115v.
2. no you dont need to burn in your cpu.
3. Well, just research the parts you plan on buying and see if they work good together

Antec PSU's are rated very good
115V is what PSU should be set at, there is a switch in back....230V is for european countries;
I have never "burned in" any cpu's....some guy's that overclock may run apps for such, i don't think it's neccessary nowadays, but i'm sure someone will think otherwise.
mechBgon a memeber @ AT has a nice guide that may be of some help.......PC Guide....
Good Luck

Antec power supplys are supposed to be good. That is what I have in my newest computer now one year old (an Antec SmartBlue 350 watt). However, I've lost 3 video cards now in 1 years time. I had my Epox 8RDA+ motherboard check out and they said it was good. So either I've had 3 bad ASUS video cards or maybe my Antec P/S is to blame.

A friend just bought an Antec case with 350 Watt P/S and we tried to build a computer with it... thought we had a dead motherboard, actually 2 dead motherboards. Turned out in the end it was the P/S was bad.

Well, there are lemons in every crate - overall Antec is supposed to be good.

If its a really high rated psu 550w+ you could run it on 230 in your home by using two 115 posts. Cuts down on electricity costs ^_^

Burn in is a myth nowadays, IMHO. Look up CPU Burn though if you are interested. I use it to max out a processor to check temps but that it about it.

Tips= Take your time, double check everything.

Good luck and any questions search here and then post if you don't find what you are looking for.
