Need some advice about a monitor scratch.

I just recieved a Sony Trinitron 19" monitor for less than $200 bucks. It's a nice monitor but there is a tiny scartch on the left side of the screen. It's only about 1 1/2 millimeter long but I'm wondering if that's big enough that I should send back to the company, or small enough that I can ignore it.

I'm at work right now so I can't test it out as it's at home. Can anyone tell me if that's something I should be worried about? Thanks.

Heh. I'm glad you guys think it's no big deal. :)

I did a search on "scratches" and it seems like there's nothing you can do about them so I got a little worried about it. It's very small and to the left side(about an inch off the edge). I guess I'll go ahead and keep it, provided that there are no other problems(I still haven't hooked it up yet).

*bump*

Ok. The scratch I originally spoke about was the only one I had found initially. I've been using it for a few days and just today I wiped the screen with a damp paper towel and noticed a few more. Three smaller scratchs toward the bottom-center. Unlike the original I posted about, these are more noticeable because there is a strange "rainbow" effect when there is a light color on the screen. The other scrach is deeper and larger but hardly noticeable unless I really look for it. These are more noticeable even though they are smaller.

For the price ($217 including shipping) I think it's a nice monitor but I'm wondering if I should return it and see if I can't get another without scratchs. Anyone have some input?

I'm thinking I will. :(

Just another question though. Should I just exchange it for another at the same company(monitoronsale.com) or should I try my luck somewhere else?
