Help. Trying to migrate some Windows Mail emails over to Outlook 2010 on a new pc.
These programs are not installed on the same computer, else it would be easy.
Theoretically I could install Outlook on the old pc and let it import the emails, then transfer the resulting .psts. But it would have to be a trial version of Outlook, and Microsoft appears to insist on an Office 365 trial. There's no way I'm signing up for a Microsoft account and giving them my name and credit card info to use their software, much less try it out.
I thought about installing Windows Live Mail (or whatever it was called) on the new pc, import my email files, and make it hook up with Outlook 2010 to do the export, but I think it's been retired and is no longer available.
There are, no doubt, conversion utilities out there to handle this. If you buy them. Not really expecting to spend money here ...
Thoughts? Anyone been through the process before?
