This is what i do.
Look book up at school website obviously overpriced. Look book up on both Amazon and Barnes and Noble and make sure ISBN match correctly also compare the price. Then I check the book on half.com
I only buy books on Half.com if they have a big price difference because you still have to pay for shipping and sometimes you are buying a used book and multiple books equals several shipping chargers.
While if the book has almost no price difference or shipping will almost equal the savings buy from amazon or B&N because they provide free shipping.

I repeat:

(had to shout... a couple people didn't read my post :p :) )
Give it a try... you'll see that your precious half.com and Amazon and Barnes and Noble are all checked via that one place. One search... get results from 40 or so different places, including overseas. (I had a physics textbook that including express shipping (air) from Britain, was still $50 cheaper than anyplace in the U.S.)

Yes gotta love ignoring the best site that DrPizza mentioned. As I read the replies I was about to scroll down and be like "WTF??? ADDALL FTW" till I saw his! Who gives a fvck about half.com (which never has been the cheapest for any books I've ordered) when you can use addall.com to search them all. With addall I usually end up ordering from Amazon.com tho sometimes others like TextbookX and Abe's Books.

I suggest you scan all your books and post them on teh intraweb.

Maybe the book companies will start doing like the music industry and sell them online for dirt cheap.

I use bestbookdeal.com which I'm guessing is like addall.com since it searches multiple sellers.
