Need server recommendations for small business!

About 20 employees; running NT 4.0, Pervasive SQL, e-mail server software. Currently using an IBM Netfinity 3000 (P2 450 w 256K mb RAM; 9 gig SCSI UW hd mirrored to another HD). Want to allow for future upgrading, etc. Have heard good things about Compaq Proliant and IBM servers, but am bewildered by choices available. Probably will stick with NT. We will probably do a fresh install of OS and data. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

I am not really a compaq person, due to the replacement parts and warrenty and not real familar with IBM... But I would take a serious look at the Dell's PowerEdge 2400's. I have installed serval 2400's in the last few months and they are the best bang for your buck. (Multiple processors, redundant power supplies, and raid level 5 for under $10,000) Not to mention the great support.....

I've had really good luck with HP and Dell servers. Each manufacturer has their own quirks. There are 2 HP servers that would probably fit you best. The E800 is good, and the LC2000 will allow you to run hot-swap drives.

HP servers are good....
It almost comes down to who and how you want to service your servers.... If that makes any sense??
