Need serious help; (not mental) Freezes on startup and in bios

I believe the processor is overheating it's slot one I think athlon 400 @ 600 or something like that;

I just got a computer sent to me that I bought from the fs/ft section and it had a rough ride across two states and with stuff packed inside the case; (bubblewrap/mouse/cds), well everthing was shaken up and when I got it all together I couldn't get the two little fans reattatched but I wouldn't think It would cause it to overheat inside ten seconds; how do I reset an overclocked cpu; I've never dealt with that or a slot 1, or an athlon... so any help is appreciated.. thank you all very much...
 
Check for a cmos reset jumper on the motherboard. You should really identify the motherboard you are using to help us help you.
