I was looking to get a new case, mobo, cpu, videocard, memory, harddrive, and DVD Burner. Basically a full upgrade. What should I get to keep it under $800 shipped?

There are several threads around here with suggestions for similar budgets.

Generally I'd recommend
Antec case + PSU
A64 (3200+ or 3000+ 939)
a gig of value ram
seagate hdd
nf4 motherboard
nec dvd burner
6600gt videocard (or X800XL if you can afford that)

Do you need windows too?

Nah I got windows. My real dilemma is what Motherboard to get. I dont want to overclock at all, i just want something cheap and stable.

Chaintech makes a nice basic NF4 based mb for right around $100.

I got a Soltek K8TPRO and it's working great. That was right around $100 too.

Is this the ram you're talking about?

Unless you're doing insane overclocking and insist on increasing the ram speed, you should be spending about $100 on a gig of ram.

Corsair value select is only $85 shipped at chiefvalue.

If you want to do some overclocking, twinmos makes some very nice ram that takes a lot of voltage and gets very nice timings. I think it's around $125 for a gig.

If you want the best performance/$, spending $250 on ram is not the way to do it. Spend about $100 on the ram and then spend the money saved on going with an X800XL or a 6800gt. You'll get much better performance in the end than you'd get spending so much on ram to get a couple more % increase.
