I am running an Athlon 1.33(stock hs and fan),enlight 7237 case, 384 ram@143 mhz 2-2-2, 1 agp 2 pci cards installed and a raid 0 setup w/twin maxtor diamondmax plus 45 7200 rpm...Only intake fans are PS and an 80 mm in the front w/ an 80 mm just below the power supply blowing out....On boot I get decent readings of 19-20 ambient and 30 processor which moves steadily on up to 28-32c ambient idle/full and 48-56c idle/full.....I would love to get some ideas on ways to cool the processor down and a way to get more airflow onto my harddrives which are in the lower 2 5.25 bays(no additional bays are open) TYIA 😉🙂

Why not have your PSU fan blow out, and the 80 blow in?

OR

Have the PSU fan blow out and have the 80mm fan mounted on your case 😉.

A better HSF never hurt (and I dont particularly like the retail AMD ones). Iv got a coolermaster HHC-001 on my XP, and I love it! 24degC at boot, 45 at load. Iv got one (low power) intake fan in front and one (also low power) PSU fan blowing out.

Its one loud PC though 🙁. Perhaps you can find something that doesnt sound like a black label delta, but moves 15cfm less...
