I've got a Sanyo 900mhz and a panasonic 2.4ghz, and people have trouble hearing me on both phones. My corded phone is fine.

Anyone have any recomendations on a good cordless phone which won't interfer with my wireless router, and people will acutally be able to hear me properly?

Thanks.

your wifi, 802.11b,g are on 2.4ghz, so anything outside that range 900mhz or 5ghz will do fine
but since that creepy neighbor accross the street likes to listen in on your 900mhz phone i would go with the 5ghz option

900 Mhz digital phone or 5.8 Ghz digital. Gotta make sure its not digital. BTW, I'm assuming your wireless router is 2.4

Yeah its 2.4ghz.

So I should go with a 5ghz phone? All I find is 5.8. Any specific brands/models?

I'm looking for something with caller ID, an excellent battery life, and clairity.

some 5.8 ghz phones dont' use 5.8ghz for the upstream and downstream. Some use 2.4ghz for their return path, so it'd still [possibly] interfere. I have heard of very littel problems with vtech's phones and wireless.

the 900mhz dss option is palatable if price is a concern
what it does is jump keep jumping quickly around in the 2-2.4ghz bandwidth so theres better security and probably less chance it'll continually depress your wifi

if you can keep your wifi to a set channel its good in conjunction with the 900mhz dss

Don't really care how much it cost, I'm tired of not being able to be heard and having to repeat my self all the time.

Whats this DSS? a different kind of 900mhz phones?

DSS = digital spread spectrum. Basically just make sure any phone you get is digital.

I have had good luck with Panasonic Phones. 900Mhz and a few 2.4Ghz ones. They co-exist with my 802.11b router just fine.
