Need recommendations for sunglasses

I've worn freaking glasses for so long I don't know what it feels like to not wear them. Tried contacts twice a long time ago but never could get the right fit due to my astigmatism. But that I'd give it another try since over the years hearing new develops for eyes like mine. So got fitted with Baush and Lomb toric soft lenses and love them. Feels soooooo comfortable and I'm picking them up tomorrow!

Now need recommendations on sunglasses as I love wearing my clip while driving but find them combined with my glasses to heavy to walk around comfortably with. I can't afford Maul Jims so is it possible to get some good sunglasses for around $50? Any recommendations on brands and where to get them?

I'm more into the thin frame look, sort of hip, matrix, GQ type of glasses.
Happy days ahead!!

all the dkny/kenneth cole/ck type of glasses will be around that price range--slightly below 100. department stores and sunglass hut

For only $50? Use your Taijiquan skills to rob someone of their glasses. That'll do the trick.

Serkously - unless someone directs you to some discounted shades or something, you're going to be either looking at $5 Walgreens shades or $250 hi-tech stuff.

That having been said, having worked at Lenscrafters, they've got some nice sunglasses. Good luck. 😀

I like my Arnette glasses. They were ~$100, but I turned $40 discover card cashback into $80 worth of sunglass hut gift cards so they were pretty cheap.

Definitely get something with good polarized lenses.

Lol. I refuse to spend more than $30 on my sunglasses, they are just not that important to me....

I found a pretty good pair at Nordstrom walking through to the mall. Check those places out. Sunglasses Hut was a joke.

Over $100 for some sunglasses? That's just as bad as my gf buying a fvcking $140 Coach purse. Maybe it's me, but I just don't get that.

Crap, is that all I can get for below $100? IMHO, money spent on those brands goes partly towards their brand name, which I'm trying to avoid. I don't mind spending more but am looking for value, isn't everyone? 😉

Try Norstorm Rack if there is one avaliable near you. Also if there are Outlets nearby like Kenneth Cole, etc. I've seen desesigner sunglasses under 20.

Oh, I paid for Kenneth Cole sunglasses for 20.00 at Robinson May during their sales plus their additional coupons in the paper.

I just bought a pair of Fossil sunglasses for $34. They look nice, and didn't cost a whole lot. I'm getting LASIK tomorrow, so I can't wait to wear them! 😀

Sweep m-frames are so. 1980's. MAYBE 1990's. Blah. Never liked em then either

i wear them when i go jogging... they fit snugly to my face and when they bend out of shape I just bend them back without worry of snapping something. 😛

after losing 2 150$ pairs of oakleys i went for 50$ "peppers" at rei... the quality felt just as good and so were the optics. then i went ahead and splurged on some smith's... (i never learn).

it'll be hard to avoid your brands.. because at the 30$ price gap.. there is a palpable difference in quality of build and glass
