Those are the people I remind that evolutionary speaking, lobsters are pretty much in the same general lineage as cockroaches 😉

I think this every time I eat lobster. "I wonder what cockroach tastes like? Probably the same, except smaller. I wonder how much lobster I'd have to include to call cockroaches lobster nuggets?"

The fancy sushi place near my apartment has lobster sashimi. It was alive like 2 minutes before they bring it to your table and it is still moving.

A nice way to grill lobster is to first remove the tail. Take a pair of kitchen shears and cut the top of the tail shell lengthwise down the middle towards the tail until just before the last segment. Use a butter knife to lossen the meat from the shell. Pull the shell apart and lift the lobster meat so it sits on top of the shell and push the shell halves back together. Place it on grill, shell side down, and baste with melted butter every few minutes until done, about 7 - 10 minutes depending on the size of the lobster.

Ya know... Someone had to be real hungry to find out how tasty that animal is. I mean look at it, would you just be walking along and say "Hey, I think I'm going to eat that."

Boiling doesn't take long. Maybe 6 minutes?

Meh, Chinese people eat anything.

I had a McLobster Roll once in Connecticut - just because it was on the menu and I had to see it to believe it.

It had the texture and taste of real lobster. But now you have me wondering if the Lobster McNugget actually comes from... no. Can't be.

anyone of the suggestions is a great way to go. just be careful of over cooking it. once it's overcooked, it's like eating the sole of a shoe.

for the dip i use a combo of butter, soy sauce and garlic.

If you're ordering them from Maine, see if you can get some clams to steam with the lobsters... Steaming clams is pretty easy and I actually like them better than lobster. I prefer a beer like Miller Light to go with american seafood....though it wouldn't be my #1 pick most other times.

One tip....if you're going to steam them, drop them in a separate pot of boiling water for a quick kill (or do the knife trick)...then move them to a steamer pot a minute or so later. Many of the lobster pounds in Maine will actually boil them in seawater for more flavor. You could salt your water with sea salt or kosher salt for a similar effect...sort of like a crawfish boil. You don't want to season the water too much though because you could negatively influence the flavor of the meat...it's almost better to go simple and let lemon and butter do their thing after the cooking is done.

First you fatten it up for a week on a diet of steak and potatoes. Then one night you set a nice warm bath for it. Once that's done it's ready to eat!

lol My mother's a vegetarian. She wouldn't let us have anything besides chicken and fish :\ . Soooo I didn't have my first steak till high school.

D:

I think I had steak when I was seven...

I would suggest you go to Cantonese restaurant with some friends and order the ginger and green onion stir fried lobster.

cut in half (head first, humane)
rip claws off
grill over oak (crack a hole in each claw first, claws take longer so put them on first)
apply lemon-garlic butter liberally while grilling
eat
