Any suggestions? I have a Cooler Master that sounds like a leaf blower (a bit of an exageration, but still...) Any inexpensive coolers that cool quietly? I do not overclock.

What's your budget? I was thinking the Thermalright ALX-800 with a Panaflo L1A fan. ALX-800 and the Panaflo 24cfm fan they're listing would be the L1A. You might check the prices against svc.com too, I'm somewhat bandwidth-challenged and their new site is a drag for me :p

Thermaltake SilentBoost, unlike most Thermalrights, it comes with a fan.

Zalman CNPS7000 if you want to spend that kind of money.

Some motherboards will run heatsink fans at over 5000 rpms, no matter what brand. If you can find one, a zalman 'Fan Mate 1' will allow you to lower the rpms with your present heatsink. They sell for about $4.95 at Fry's, maybe a little higher if ordered online with shipping charges. I would run your amd fan at 3000-3500 rpms, and see how much the temperature rises. It shouldn't rise more than 3-4 degrees celcius.

Why not do what I did? I went to Fry's, and paid $10 for a Cooler Master X-Dream, which is actually a really nice heatsink, with a variable-speed fan. It's adjustable from 2500-4800, and the heatsink is good enough that I can run my 2400 up to 2400mhz, with the fan turned all the way up.
