Need ram suggestions for gaming computer

I am building a computer for my sister, she will use it mostly for gaming. I have not bought the motherboard, processor or memory yet. She wants a P4 system so I am think of going with an Abit AI7 or ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe with a P4 3.0Ghz. We already have a Radeon 9800 Pro video card. Ram is the main component that we are undecided on, because of price. She wants good memory but with the price of ram, what do you think of Corsair VS1GBKIT400? This is value ram has a cas latency of 2.5, right now I can get this ram for under $200. Since she will not be doing any overclocking, do you think this ram will be fine? Is it worth the extra money to pay $270 to $400 for ram that is cas latency 2? Would appreciate any suggestions.

She has played Everquest, Dark Age of Camalot and Star Wars. She has never overclocked her systems and does not ever plan on it.
