Need QUICK Scanner Recommendation!

My wife and mother-in-law are about to run out and buy a scanner for my father-in-law for Christmas. They're looking at a Visioneer "OneTouch" 5800 for $14.99 after rebate.

The first thing I'm doing is posting this. Next I'll be researching better options. I'd like to keep the price in the $125.00 or less range. What's the best bang for the buck at this time? Legal size document reading would be a big plus. Don't care if it's SCSI or USB, but parallel wouldn't cut it.

honestly i'd go for the $15 one.

i bought a cheap one a few years ago and while it is parallel it still works nicely.
