i have a one page pdf document. i want to save paper so i want to print 4 copies of this document on one page. how should i do it. i know how to do this if the document has multiple pages but not if it's single page

Probably not the best way, but I'd screen capture the the pdf, save it as a jpg, then setup a page in Paint or something for printing.

Foxit Reader has the ability to print multiple pages on one sheet of paper. You might need to create a PDF file with 4 of the same pages to use this feature though. In the Print dialog, select Page Arrange = Multiple Pages per Sheet, and Page Scaling = Fit to Paper.

FinePrint can also do this with many more options, but it's not free:

Hope this helps.
